Corporate Practice Coordinator

The candidate will provide superior service to the firm’s attorneys, advisors and staff, and maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement. Support staffing process and attorney workload management. Ensure active, ongoing communication with attorneys and staffing personnel. Review utilization reports and raise productivity issues as appropriate. Assist with coordination of the annual attorney evaluation and compensation adjustment processes for Practice Leaders and Corporate partners, including review of evaluation forms, guiding partner discussions of evaluation messages, submission of recommended compensation adjustments, and ensuring consistency across the group. Leverage knowledge acquired as a result of the evaluation process to focus on issues revealed and establish solutions. Plan and arrange ad hoc, monthly and other periodic meetings, calls and other practice events. Work with Director and Practice Group Leaders to prepare presentation materials, as needed. Follow up with Director, Practice Leaders and partners on initiatives arising from calls and meetings to ensure deliverables and goals are met. Work with partners, Attorney Development and Knowledge Management to plan formal training programs for Corporate lawyers. Coordinate needs assessments for new hires, including laterals and entry-level associates, and work with Attorney Recruiting, Attorney Development and Human Resources personnel as needed in lateral recruiting, onboarding and integration. Work with Talent Development and Human Resources departments on morale and retention issues. Work with Accounting, Client Value, Director and Practice Leaders to assist with practice budgeting, expense review and management, establishment of billing rates and proposed pricing and discounts. Coordinate hiring, onboarding, managing and off-boarding of other Corporate timekeepers as needed, and ensure invoices are received and processed timely. Establish strong rapport and working relationships with business services personnel across different groups, as well as strong relationships with attorneys within the practice. Foster and encourage a culture of superior client service, responsiveness and collegiality. Bachelor’s degree is required. Should have 1-2 years of law firm experience.
