The Director of Sales is responsible for the leadership of the Sales and Resort Events, Recreation, Design departments to achieve property sales objectives with overall responsibility for achieving booking goals and property revenues. The incumbent is responsible for the entirety of the resorts sales efforts. The Director of Sales will also serve as an ambassador for the resort's brand and service vision in all aspects of the sales process and focuses on building long-term, value-based relationships that enable achievement of the property owner's sales revenue goals. The incumbent is responsible for the evaluation of the department's participation in the various sales channels (e.g., Area Sales, Group Sales within the Sales Office, electronic lead channels, etc.) and develops strong working relationships to proactively position and market Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. The Director of Sales has overall responsibility for the sales and revenue generation for the entire resort. This person has a main objective of keeping all of the associates gainfully (full time employment) employed throughout the year based on the achievement of our financial targets. Essential Functions Develop an annual sales plan that clearly identifies multiple big picture strategies for Nemacolin to exceed its annual revenue targets and expectations Offer ongoing sales training to keep the sales team on the cutting edge of sales trends. Provides customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations. Assist all departments with revenue generation and all upsell opportunities. Suggests innovative marketing ideas and develops deployment strategies to continue to grow market share. Lead by example, act as an ambassador of the resorts brand and Service Vision in all aspects of generating leads for the sales team. Identifies public relations opportunities and coordinates activities to support the overall marketing communication strategy. Understand the Nemacolin and Hardy Family culture and expectations, support and demonstrate at all times. Monitors the effective resolution of guest issues that arise as a result of the sales process by creating mechanisms to channel issues to property leadership and\/or other appropriate stakeholders. Be a role model and leader in the community, as well as the resort. Develops strong community and public relations by maintaining property participation in local, regional and national tradeshows and client events. Always live by the credo that

Supports the General Manager ownership by coordinating Public Relations in crisis communication. Gains understanding of the hotel's primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns to offer better business solution both prior to, and during the scheduled event. Executes the sales strategy in order to meet individual booking goals for both self and staff. Provides day to day leadership to associates to achieve property sales objectives with overall responsibility for achieving booking goals and property revenues. Position Accountabilities Is responsible for the achievement of overall resort budget to include revenues, occupancy levels and ADR. Is responsible for the Sales Managers achieving\/exceeding their individual future bookings and consumption targets. Is responsible for being a\u00a0role model in the community and a fine ambassador for Nemacolin, and the 84 Lumber Family. Is responsible for accurate record keeping and proper contracting processes and documentation as it relates to group conference business. Is responsible for keeping an updated Suggested Selling Guideline in place between sales, catering, and conference services that insures consistently of selling strategies and methodologies and a team focus on the overall resort budget achievement. Is responsible for ongoing training, improvement and development of the sales managers. Is responsible for timely report generation and distribution, to include pace reports, forecast, month ends, incentive payouts, Sales Manager sales targets, and P&L review. Is responsible for insuring all sales team members understand and respect our Nemacolin values and hospitality standards and well as our culture. Position Qualifications Minimum of 5 years' executive sales experience at a luxury four season resort, hotel, or conference center property. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, Hospitality or a related field. Ability to travel in the field throughout the year with the staff to assist, coach, and counsel. Ability to train and develop associates on sales techniques and resort products and services. Strong leadership and management skills; Leads by example and sets the tone. Ability to multi-task and effectively handle multiple projects. The highest ethics and morals standards; has incredible honesty and integrity. Ability to provide professional work relationships with many different personality types. A true team player, committed to big picture thinking and supporting the operation. Still actively involved in selling, consistently makes sales calls and generates leads and business for the sales team and the resort. Flexible and open to change knowing our industry and business is fluid and dynamic. Must be able to speak English. In 1968, Pittsburgh industrialist Willard F. Rockwell (Rockwell International) established a private game reserve in the Laurel Highlands on what is now Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. This property was named Nemacolin Trails Hunting Reserve. The Rockwell’s invited friends and business associates to hunt and fish the 400-acre reserve, populated by silver fox, bear and white-tailed deer. A hunting lodge was constructed in 1968, together with the golf course and airstrip. Lakes Louise and Carol were also added, and Beaver Creek was developed into the excellent trout stream it is today.
