A law firm seeks a full-time Counsel - Client Engagement Terms in Dallas, TX. The role involves reviewing, revising, and negotiating client terms of engagement for both legal and non-legal engagements, ensuring compliance and alignment with the firm's objectives.

Duties

• Review and revise documents establishing client engagement terms.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts for document analysis and revision.
• Negotiate with clients on proposed engagement terms.
• Document client terms of engagement using Intapp Terms.
• Identify and correct discrepancies in client information and engagement terms.
• Advise on legal risks and propose practical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and firm policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by firm leadership.
• Maintain regular attendance and in-person interaction at the worksite.

Requirements

• JD degree and 3+ years of legal experience in a law firm.
• Active bar license in good standing in the state of residence.
• Experience in contract negotiation and legal risk assessment.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of professional conduct rules and risk management.
• Experience with Intapp Terms preferred; Intapp Conflicts is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and priority-setting abilities.
• Ability to present information effectively in small groups.
• Commitment to confidentiality.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
