Assistant Director of Governmental Affairs

The candidate will research, analyze, and evaluation of federal matters as they may pertain to client priorities. The position will also assist in the development of testimony, model legislation, position papers, and reports. Must have 5 years of experience with the legislative process and ideally possess a strong background in water, wastewater, and environmental issue areas. Ideal candidates possess a strong knowledge of the federal legislative process and the federal administrative rulemaking process. Should be able to provide examples of successfully implemented legislative strategies. Further, the ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders. Must possess strong writing skills and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly. Handle multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines and be detail-oriented, and possess good organizational skills. Ability to work independently and proactively.
