Group Manager – Tax Reporting
The candidate will manage the preparation of the firm's US GAAP income tax accounting models including deferred accounting, payable accounting, tax account roll-forward, FIN48, return-to-provision true-up, SBC and ETR. Collaborate with the broader tax and finance teams to ensure proper reporting of complex issues such as mergers and acquisitions, cross border transactions, equity transactions, investments, and other tactical and planning ideas. Develop and update processes to ensure a smooth connection among accounting, tax compliance and tax accounting functions, identifying key areas for simplification and automation. Provide accountability for maintenance and compliance of key SOX controls related to US tax accounting. Ensure changes to tax legislation, SEC regulations, US GAAP, and global developments, are properly analyzed and accounted for. Provide audit support to the Tax Controversies group for issues related to US income tax positions and filings. Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law, or related field AND 8+ years of direct and indirect tax compliance, tax returns, tax accounting, or tax audit management experience OR Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law, or related field AND 8+ years of direct and indirect tax compliance, tax returns, tax accounting, or tax audit management experience OR equivalent experience is required. BS in Accounting or MSA, MST, or MAC is preferred. Should preferably have 10+ years of experience of applicable experience. Deep hands-on expert experience with ASC740 is needed. Hands-on experience with US and US international corporate income tax is a plus. Previous experience in corporate tax department is a plus. Previous experience in Big 4 corporate tax practices is preferred. CPA certification is preferred.
