Senior Analyst - Contracts Management

Duties: Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards to manage the development and implementation of strategic projects to improve contract processes. Draft, review, and redline supplier feedback, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, reviewing and enforcing internal standards, policies, and procedures in a timely and efficient manner. Assess, identify, and analyze legal issues and any resulting input from in-house attorneys on terms and conditions of supplier contracts based on knowledge and experience, translate such input into practical contractual terms and conditions, and present clear recommendations to management and business partners. Partner with stakeholders—Legal, Risk, Privacy, Information Security, Tax, and AP—to identify and mitigate contract risks including intellectual property, limits of liability, data handling, and PII amongst others. Develop a thorough understanding of and familiarity with Toyota’s business, its people, products, policies, markets, compliance framework, and customers to properly mitigate all risks. Ensure deliverables are clear, measurable, and aligned with established service levels and client expectations while adhering to specified timelines and established performance indicators. Coordinate with appropriate internal departments and other business units to consult and deliver insights on contract management activities to improve cycle time and transparency to customers. Challenge assumptions, validate rationale and identify risks and opportunities when integrating multiple views and perspectives into a consistent narrative for senior management level communication. Be subject matter expert for the Way of Contracting with the ability to lead and influence a team, and be able to consult experts to business clients and buyers. Conduct contract training sessions covering the contracting process, key terms and conditions, and other topics as needed.
