The candidate will create eLearning modules using industry-standard tools (i.e., Camtasia, Articulate Storyline). Write and revise performance support materials, including manuals, instructor outlines, tip sheets, procedures, and templates. Deliver technical and soft-skill training for firm personnel, catering to all skill levels and aptitudes. Provide training and one-on-one support as necessary. Propose improvements and efficiencies while keeping cost-effectiveness and available resources in mind. Collaborate with other departments on special projects. Participate in design review and testing for new firm-standard applications and upgrades. Keep up to date with new training methodologies, including eLearning, video, and web-based methods. Network and communicate with other professional trainers at law firms to leverage the knowledge and experience of others. Special projects and duties, as assigned. Bachelor's degree required. Should have the ability to problem-solve. Should have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in a virtual environment (e.g., via phone, web/videoconference); ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-orientated environment; demonstrated ability to use good judgment in taking initiative while asking for direction or clarification and consulting others, as appropriate; willingness to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environment; ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining a client service orientation; ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information; ability to maintain regular attendance and work regularly scheduled hours; ability to take direction and accept supervision; demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required, and use good judgment in varied situations; ability to work effectively with co-workers in a team-oriented collaborative environment; 5+ years of experience in education/training in the corporate, legal, or academic fields; law firm experience preferred; Knowledge of adult learning theories; superior knowledge of the Microsoft suite and experience in learning management systems.
