The candidate should have strong research and writing skills and the ability to handle high conflict cases. Will be responsible for all aspects of a client’s case (with supervision) including communicating with clients and other counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing for and attending court hearings etc. Expertise in legal drafting a must, as is courtroom experience as second chair, Substantive knowledge concerning the statutes, regulations and rules affecting Family Law, Excellent communication and presentation abilities both in the court/hearing rooms and in internal meetings, including strong written and verbal skills and the ability to effectively explain complex legal issues to non-lawyers. Ability to handle high asset, high conflict and complex cases, Ability to synthesize complex information effectively and translate complicated issues into actionable recommendations and solutions. Outstanding reputation of professional integrity and ability to be immediately, personally credible within the firm and in the community. Advanced proficiency with MS Office, Abacus, Disso Master and other software applications. J.D. Degree and admission to practice law in the state of California is required. Active membership of the bar in good standing in California. 1+ years of Family Law w/ Finance background experience required.
