A reputable law firm is seeking a skilled attorney with 2 to 5 years of litigation experience for a Special Counsel role in Tampa. Duties

• Manage a high volume of construction litigation matters, often proceeding in arbitration.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions; argue motions in court as needed.
• Handle discovery processes and assist in depositions and trial work.
• Participate in mediation and arbitration of cases involving insurance claims, construction and design defects, and other related disputes.
• Settle cases effectively with a strong record of resolution.
• Supervise and manage a team of paralegals and support staff.

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of litigation experience, particularly in construction litigation.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and maintain focus in a structured office setting.
• Demonstrated ability in legal research, drafting motions, conducting discovery, and trial experience.
• Experience with mediation, arbitration, and related legal proceedings is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Skills

• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage a team and provide leadership in case management.
