Job Description
The purpose of this position is to lead a team of analysts to drive continuous improvement efforts across the Operations arm of the Ben Admin business. Identifying opportunities to improve the business’ Speed, Cost, and Quality performance across the various LOBs and process by increasing offshore ratios, reducing onshore FTE headcounts and underlying cost basis through process efficiency, improve client and customer service quality, improve the operating model and reduce overall Service Delivery Risks. The Continuous Improvement Leader employ Lean, Six-Sigma, and other Process Improvement methodologies to drive Continuous Improvement of the business’ critical process in order to drive quality, increase levels customer satisfaction, lower costs, and reduce risk. The successful candidate will serve as a change agent, internal consultant, process expert, and project/program faciliator . Drive Process Improvement, Best Practices, and Standardization across Operational Teams: Collect and analyze data to identify improvement areas that generate the greatest operational impact Drive improvement in the business’ processes through programs and projects aimed at improving process Speed, Cost, and Quality. Review and create operational and product documentation and provide feedback regarding the accuracy and effectiveness of the information in an effort to further the standardization of the product offering and operational procedures. Manage both small and large scale change initiatives across the business Deliver measurable improvement (financial savings, quality improvements, customer satisfaction,…) as a result of operational improvements implemented through projects and programs Strategic Product Champion Champion new product-related initiatives within operations; to ensure adoption and adherence to available technology and processing standards. Influence new product offerings to ensure they will fit our best practice operational model by contributing ideas to the development and standardization of the product offering Operations Subject Matter Expert Educate teams and serve as a subject matter expert for delivery model, best practices, and product-wide changes/enhancements. Represent operations in sales presentations where appropriate Serve as SME on internal initiatives as needed Build a continuous Improvement culture through both formal and informal training at all levels of the organization (e.g., Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, Quick Wins, etc.). Supervises two or more employees as direct reports, typically up to 5. Has full authority for people management including: Assigning, directing, and evaluating work Hiring, disciplining and firing employees Conducting performance evaluations and career development discussions Approving salary and bonus actions Ensuring appropriate orientation and on-going education/training Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent experience (Master’s Degree Preferred) Certified Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt (required), Master Black Belt (preferred) Extensive operational knowledge and experience applying Continuous Improvement principles within Benefits Administration sector (5-10 years) Relevant industry experience especially within project management, with proven success in process improvement and/or implementation projects Track record of managing projects that drive meaningful business impact Strong leadership skills with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams Proven ability to manage people to effectively deliver results that are specific and measurable Knowledge of product offerings (DB, DC, Multi Emp, Industry etc). In-depth knowledge of administration applications and delivery processes Strong project management skills required; including strong planning, influencing and conflict resolution skills. Ability to drive change and influence different levels of management.
