Leidos is hiring an Information Technology (IT) Inventory Operations Manager to support the Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) IT Services (ITS) program at Joint Base Andrews (JBA), MD and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC. The successful candidate will assist the Government staff by developing, maintaining, and improving the AFNCR ITS Catalog and provide continuous process improvement analysis in support of those services.

The Leidos Defense Group currently has an immediate opening for an Inventory Operations Manager supporting the 844th Communications Group for the Air Force District Washington (AFDW).
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and provide day-to-day direction to a team of 10-15 staff made up of both Leidos employees and staff augmentation subcontractors.
Lead the Inventory function for the AFNCR contract, responsible for tracking and reporting on all accountable hardware and software IT assets. There are more than 65,000 accountable configuration items at this time, which require an inventory touch each year through automated or manual means.
Lead the PC Tech Refresh function for the AFNCR contract, responsible for replace all HAF and AFDW computers every four years.
Ensures all tracked assets are in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), preforming routine validation and clean-up of records.
Oversees the Lost, Damaged, or Destroyed asset program, performing physical and e-discovery searches for assets.
Develop the PC Tech Refresh plan, execute against that plan, and report status against that plan to include refresh plans for geographically separated units (GSU) in the AFNCR.
Lead the Software Asset Management function for the AFNCR contract, responsible for ensuring compliance with Air Force policies for software license terms and cybersecurity authorizations.
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables as required by the contract.
Coordinate with Government Equipment Control Officers (ECOs) to maintain synchronization between our inventories and each ECO’s inventory, including synchronization between Remedy and DPAS.
Establish, update, and train on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs) for both technician and user information.
Generate, maintain software contracts, and license certificates.
Travel is required to bases within the National Capital Region and will account for less than 10% of the job.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Experience with hardware and software asset management functions.
Strong data analytics skills – able to query and analyze data from multiple data sources, often with imperfect linkages or integration between data sets, and to make informed decisions and recommendations based on that analysis. Experience with data export and import mechanisms for bulk updates.
Must be committed to customer service, well organized, able to plan and prioritize assignments, and able to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, be courteous and professional when interacting with colleagues and customers, demonstrate a solid ability to identify and solve problems, and be able to work successfully in a team environment.
Preferred Experience:
Strong working knowledge of BMC Remedy modules, especially Asset Management.
Experience with BelManage.
Experience with logistics and/or asset management functions in a DOD/Military environment.
Experience with DPAS (Defense Property Accounting System).
Experience in the AFNCR environment with AFDW and/or HAF customers.
Pay Range:Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00
