Job Overview: A law firm in Fort Wayne, IN, is seeking a qualified Personal Injury Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for advocating on behalf of clients who have suffered personal injuries and will be responsible for handling all aspects of personal injury cases, from initial client intake to trial.

Duties:

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts throughout the litigation process.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Conduct legal research and draft various legal documents, including complaints, answers, motions, and briefs.
• Lead mediations and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Develop effective case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and hearings.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation law.
• Licensed to practice law in Indiana and in good standing with the Indiana State Bar.
• Proven experience drafting and responding to motions.
• Substantial knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Indiana State Bar.
