Support the Polaris aftermarket team with financial oversight for Apex Product Group which includes the Kolpin, Pro Armor, Trail Tech & Premier OEM brands. Responsible for all accounting aspects of these brands including the month end close process, accounts payable, accounts receivable and treasury. A key member of the team that works cross-functionally to contribute to the success of these brands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead team of associates to ensure all aspects of the accounting process are completed timely & accurately.
Responsible for completing the monthly close process and meeting all corporate deadlines.
Partner with IS and Apex (or all capitalized? Just thinking to be consistent with Apex in job summary above) operational teams to ensure financial accuracy and strong controls
Complete account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of entity level and consolidated Kolpin financial reporting.
Ensure financial information is accurately loaded to Hyperion Financial Management system for corporate consolidation
Facilitate discussions with business groups and work with business managers to ensure effective accounting for changes in business
Ensure payroll is processed accurately for Premier OEM
Oversee accounts payable & accounts receivable functions and related treasury management.
Supervise the maintenance and documentation of business unit financial processes and procedures
Design & implement necessary fiscal controls to maintain compliance with corporate guidelines
Attract, lead and develop team to achieve high engagement, strong team and individual performance and depth of talent to meet Polaris’ growth
Demonstrate proficiency in the design and maintenance of the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 general ledger
Drive quality and continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, MBA preferred.
7-10 years experience in finance/accounting required.
Demonstrated ability partnering with business unit providing strategic financial partnership.
Experiences with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and/or Hyperion applications.
Strong analytical and communication skills, detail and deadline orientated.
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships in a matrix environment with customers in multiple locations.
Excellent influencing and leadership skills. “Hands-on” active participative leadership style
