Tax Director - State and Local Tax Practice

Duties: Oversee the efforts of multiple client service teams on engagements for a variety of clients. Plan, execute, direct, and complete innovative state and local jurisdictional tax planning, consulting, compliance expertise to clients, and tax controversy audit support, working closely with the Commercial and Private Client Services in reviewing multi-state returns and identifying client issues. Market, design, and implement tax-planning strategies for clients and manage to budget. Conduct secondary review of, and have ultimate responsibility for, complex tax projects. Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, ensure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively. Are responsible for managing, developing, training, and mentoring associates and managers on tax projects, and assessing performance for engagement reviews.
