Position and Responsibilities
Working within the Safety and Health Physics Department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance to the radiation protection and the industrial safety programs at our North Butte Operation. You will collect, maintain and record radiation survey data, interpret results of readings, maintain radiation exposure information and assess working conditions pertaining to radiation protection and industrial safety programs.
Participate in audits/inspections and communicate with external regulators.
Assist with the delivery and tracking of employee training.
This role will also assist in completing many wellfield duties as needed to support the operations such as sampling, maintenance duties and equipment operation as needed
Education and Qualifications
An Associates degree in a math, science, engineering, or health related field is preferred but not required, may consider training the right candidate.
Previous relevant work experience is ideal but not required
Excellent communication, math and analytical skills and attention to detail are required.
Must be able to work independently as well as with a team.
Must have education and/or equivalent experience to meet the qualifications for Radiation Safety Technician found in NRC Reg Guide 8.31 within two years.
Experience in maintenance and equipment operations is beneficial but not required
Applicants will be considered for a level within the job progression, which is appropriate to their qualifications.
This position is located at our SNorth Butte Operation near Wright Wyoming
