As a Senior Manager in the Global IMPACT team this role will focus on advancing ESG reporting & disclosures within the Climate & Environment space. Linking closely with the ESG reporting group the role will define and evolve climate and environment related disclosures allowing to reflect our advancements by leveraging our programs and roadmaps, consider new requirements and support improved ratings and rankings. The role will report into the Sr. Dir. Climate & Environment. This role will be working with program and roadmap leaders across functions, the ESG reporting group, the communications team, the internal controls team and the legal team to evaluate, analyze and advance both, our internal and external, climate related reporting and disclosures.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate climate and environment related input to sustainability reporting as well as voluntary disclosures such as:
Snacking Made Right Report
Voluntary disclosures (CDP, DJSI, and others)
Lead data assurance processes inline with standard assurance strategy linked to climate & environment related data
Develop and collaborate with process owners to enhance or create policies and procedures that ensure consistent disclosures related to climate & environment
Define steps necessary to address process and controls gaps and identify opportunities to add value proactively, beyond compliance and risk mitigation, and contribute to long-term developmental impact and sustainability
Change management for roll out of applicable policies, guidelines, and project-specific requirements
Translate the impact of changes to regulatory requirements (SEC, EU CSRD) as well as new frameworks and standards (GRI, ISSB,…) on climate and environment related disclosures and contribute to the development of MDLZ’s disclosure strategy and roadmap
Support ESG Materiality Assessment and integration into ERM Program
Translate improvement opportunities with regards to raters and rankers and coordinate cross functional actions to enhance
Ensure consistency in internal scorecards and reporting including the MARCO database
Additional Job Description
Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management or similar
Experience: 5 years in a role focused on sustainability
Demonstrated sound, well-structured and excellent analytical capabilities
Clear and concise communicator both written and in presentation form
Experience in similar role or familiarity with Sustainability and/or ESG Voluntary Reporting such as CDP, DJSI, MSCI, ISS ESG, Sustainalytics, WBA, etc.
Familiar with sustainability standards and frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, ISSB
Knowledge of the global as well as evolving ESG regulatory reporting landscape is a plus
Ability to drive effective discussions with project resources from tactical execution up to steering committee members
Proven stakeholder management experience and ability to solve problems and influence positively in decision making
Strong Project management skills
Proven ability to adjust and work across-cultures
Strong driver of change and demonstrated learning agility
Knowledge of consumer-packaged good industry and relevant business processes and technology (preferred)
