The candidate will be establishing pragmatic litigation strategy across the Americas. Providing sophisticated legal advice in both commercial and litigation matters. Leading litigation awareness and training for the global legal team. Identifying efficiencies in litigation representation and driving continuous improvements. Adopting a collaborative business-partnering approach, working in close collaboration across functions to provide risk assessments and advice and in a cross-functional context. Proactively identifying relevant regulatory and legal developments, risks and opportunities. Managing external legal counsel in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Should have 10+ years of experience as a lawyer, with at least 5 years at a law firm, handling sophisticated litigation and commercial legal matters. Experience in handling all stages of litigation across subject matters, including product, consumer relations, and commercial contracts. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, without losing sight of the big picture. A team player with ability to work independently and to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams. A proactive and customer-oriented mindset, with the ability to provide high-quality legal support with limited supervision and often under time pressure. Creativity in dealing with complex legal issues, and the ability to move projects forward by gaining needed support. Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex issues in a simple way to business partners and other stakeholders.
