Risk Manager - Clinical Risk Management
The candidate will be responsible for risk management activities, including event management, event analysis, risk assessments, risk education and regulatory readiness in the assigned facility/division. Provides risk reduction recommendations to the organization. Complies with the department policies and procedures. May access patient medical records to perform job functions. Supports physicians and facility leadership in the disclosure to patients and/or family of patients who are subject to an adverse event. Investigates every allegation of sexual misconduct against team members with direct patient contact and reports such events to include, but not limited to the Department of Health when applicable. Through education and/or experience, the Risk Manager will demonstrate competencies required by Florida Statute. Bachelor's degree or Juris Doctor required. Active RN (Registered Nurse) license in Florida required if a nurse. Required experience includes 3 years clinical risk management or 3 years private legal practice or 3 years registered nurse. Preferred certifications include CPHRM, CPSO, ARM and CRM. Required skills include customer service, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, delegation, ability to work independently, ability to work in a team, critical thinking, organization, computer skills appropriate to the position, knowledge of regulatory standards appropriate to position and medical terminology use and understanding.
