The Senior Designer will be responsible for understanding the multi-channel concept of advertising and marketing vehicles and will work to deliver ideas to support the business. This support will include creative development of campaign, brand, content, event, and in-store collateral (printed and digital) to help drive the Best Buy Business and Best Buy Home segments. This work will align with the company goals and marketing brand strategy and be used to support all aspects of the businesses based on current needs and will also help identify and support future needs as the businesses evolve. The Senior Designer will play a crucial role within the Best Buy Home (BBYH) and Best Buy Business (BBYB) embedded creative team and will need to work efficiently and both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

This is a hands-on design job where you will be called upon to create and produce finished, high-quality work under tight deadlines within a fast-moving and rapidly evolving environment. Design skills are primary, but good understanding of production is also required.

• Execute design work for every aspect of the BBYH and BBYB segments including, but not limited to: print (including longform), online/web design, digital (static and animated), events, social, direct mail, email (HTML), video (providing creative direction) and field support materials

• High level skills in design, production and presentation software required, such as: Adobe CS (In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Bridge), Power-point and Keynote

• Knowledge of design principles; graphic design, layout, typography, color, and ability to translate corporate identity and brand into digital and print executions

• Ability to prepare files from design drafts to final; including but not limited to some color correcting, retouching, resizing, etc

• Ability to prepare and manage presentation/concept/kit of parts decks under direction of Creative Directors

• Strong business acumen and understanding of marketing impact related to the business and ability to collaborate directly with stakeholders/clients throughout the creative process

• Demonstrates understanding of role/intent of marketing vehicles and how plans support broader business objectives

• Can align to established style guides to ensure established design implemented and used across multiple channels or assist in style guide development if needed

• Willingness to proactively seek out answers needed to complete creative projects

• Understand the retail landscape, as well as current trends for content creation

• Consistently adhere to brand voice standards

Basic Requirements:

• 4 years of Graphic Design experience

• Professional portfolio of creative concepts and design examples

• Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Bridge.
