We seek a Talent Development Partner to set vision and drive the execution of our talent development and performance functions.   This Partner will work in strong partnership with managers and organizational leaders to design and implement talent management and development strategies, programs and solutions.  Their work advances a positive employee experience and an inclusive culture that enables Our company to further its mission. This Partner is an integral member of ActBlue’s People & Culture team and will report to the Director, People & Culture. 


The ideal Talent Development Partner combines an ability to think strategically with a knack for tactical execution.   You will serve as a trusted management consultant and leadership advisor. You will provide thought leadership to design, develop and implement strategies, programs, systems and tools to ensure Our company has the capability needed to achieve its people development and performance goals. Specifically, the Talent Development Partner will: 

Champion and operationalize ActBlue’s leadership development 

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with managers and leaders at all levels
  • Provide targeted leadership coaching and consulting that equips people managers to build engaged, inclusive, and high performing teams 
  • Design and deliver manager development experiences; partner with external leadership development vendors/consultants on strategic initiatives
  • Use design thinking to deeply understand leaders’ needs and create aligned resources and strategies that promote development and strengthen inclusive practices 
  • Partner with senior leaders and managers to assess and advance employee experience and engagement 

Spearhead ActBlue’s talent development and performance management approach 

  • Refresh and lead operationalization of the performance competencies that contribute to employee success
  • Steward org-wide professional development (PD) budget and broadcast resources to all employees 
  • Design and lead talent reviews and succession planning process 
  • Assess, evolve, and manage organization-wide implementation of performance management rhythms, including goal-setting, progress monitoring, ongoing talent development and evaluations 
  • Utilize change management methodologies to facilitate successful implementation of solutions and processes across the organization

  • You bring 10+  years of work experience leading and managing talent development and performance functions, preferably within scaling, distributed organizations.   Preferred: prior work experience in the non-profit and/or political impact sectors. 
  • You are versed in diversity and inclusion frameworks and bring prior experience incorporating related D&I initiatives in talent and leadership development work
  • You are adept at coaching and training managers across diverse leadership styles and experience ranges 
  • You are skilled at navigating complex personnel situations and have the ability to listen, learn, and creatively build solutions with others 
  • You bring a record of strong judgment and discretion in advising others, making autonomous decisions, and handling sensitive information


ActBlue’s headquarters are located in Davis Square in Somerville, MA, just a few blocks from Boston’s MBTA Red Line train.  This posting is for a full-time salaried position based in Somerville, MA. with some flexibility for a fully-remote candidate willing to travel (20)%. 

We offer a competitive salary and a generous compensation package, which includes commuter benefits; fully and trans-inclusive health, dental, and vision insurance; an employer-sponsored 401K contribution match; and a flexible time-off policy.

Salary range:  $100,000-$140,000
