Associate Director and Counsel, Global Trade
The candidate will be analyzing and applying Global Trade regulations to support business needs in the context of internal and external stakeholders. Partnering with various stakeholders across the company to provide compliant Global Trade advice to support business need. Reviewing and negotiating Global Trade provisions of contracts. Working collaboratively with members of the Global Compliance team and stakeholders across the company to manage compliance risks and support business initiatives. Assisting in the development, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of RTX policies, standard work, and processes for Global Trade. Continually enhancing and improving P&Ws’ Global Trade program, always acting with integrity. A Juris Doctor degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience. Should have 5+ years of relevant Global Trade and/or compliance experience. Good standing with a State Bar association and in-house counsel registration in a timely manner following hire. Must be a strong leader and team player with excellent judgment and professional maturity. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal daily supervision and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Must be willing to comply with applicable pre-employment screening, including drug testing, reference verification, and background check. Experience with U.S. and Canadian export and import regulations, the ability to coordinate and obtain non-U.S. and Canadian export and import regulatory advice is preferred. Prior experience reviewing contracts and providing Global Trade business support is preferred. Background within an aerospace manufacturing environment is preferred.
