Quality Assurance Specialist

Qualifications

For GS-05: The candidate must have 3+ years of general experience that includes 1 year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector interpreting the quality of products or services in one of the following areas: quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production or other related area.

For GS-07: The candidate must have 1 year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector gathering data; assisting with maintaining the quality of products or services in one of the following areas: quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production or other related areas.

For GS-09: The candidate must have 1 year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector maintaining the quality of products or services in one of the following areas: quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production or other related areas.

For GS-11: The candidate must have 1 year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector monitoring quality assurance services (i.e., quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production or other related areas) through statistical analysis, control and sampling.

For GS-12: The candidate must have 1 year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing or implementing quality assurance methods, procedures, and systems in support of activity programs.

For GS-13: The candidate must have 1 year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating the development and implementing quality assurance methods, procedures, and systems in support of activity programs.

For GS-14: The candidate must have 1 year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing the development and implementation of quality assurance methods, procedures, and systems in support of activity programs.

For GS-15: The candidate must have 1 year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing oversight, management and guidance of an activities quality assurance program.

Education: Candidates may substitute education for experience in the following situations:

For GS-05: Should have successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a Bachelor's degree.

For GS-07: Should have successfully completed one full year of graduate level education OR have successfully completed a Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.

For GS-09: Should have successfully completed a Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Master's degree OR have obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.

For GS-11: Should have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree or completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
