Associate Attorney needed for Tampa office

A law firm in Tampa, FL, is seeking a detail-oriented Associate Attorney to assist with a high volume of litigation cases. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of senior attorneys, contributing to various aspects of case management, including drafting legal documents, supporting the discovery process, and conducting legal research. Strong analytical and writing skills are essential, with experience in complex litigation required. Experience with big firms, content/media, and intellectual property is a plus. Spanish fluency is also advantageous.

Duties:

• Assist with a high volume of litigation cases, working under the guidance of senior attorneys.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Support the discovery process by organizing evidence, conducting research, and preparing materials.
• Perform detailed legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
• Contribute to case preparation and strategy development for complex litigation matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to ensure effective case management.
• Manage an annual billable hour requirement of 1800 hours.
• Leverage any experience in content/media or intellectual property law as applicable.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on commercial litigation, content/media, or intellectual property law.
• Experience with complex litigation matters.
• Big firm experience and Spanish fluency are pluses.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction(s).

Skills:

• High level of analytical and writing skills.
• Experience in complex litigation.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
• Ability to manage a high volume of cases and meet billable hour requirements.
• Experience with content/media law and intellectual property is advantageous.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.
