Description
The Regional Finance & Operations Senior Professional conducts data driven analysis and problem solving to address key opportunities, priorities, and challenges across the region. The multifaceted role will play an integral part in supporting the development and execution of strategic and operational priorities, including bid development, analysis of financial and operational performance, budget development and oversight, monthly close activities, and the development of enhanced reporting and analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities
The Regional Finance & Operations Senior Professional conducts data driven analysis and problem solving to address key opportunities, priorities, and challenges across the region. The multifaceted role will play an integral part in supporting the development and execution of strategic and operational priorities, including bid development, analysis of financial and operational performance, budget development and oversight, monthly close activities, and the development of enhanced reporting and analytics capabilities.
The role will also interface with key stakeholders across the enterprise, which may include Actuary, MRA, Corporate Finance, Provider Engagement, Clinical, and Market Point, and externally with providers, to drive operational and financial strategy and execution. The role affords multifaceted exposure to the key operational dimensions of the region, the ability to mentor and manage the work of finance analyst(s), and positions the professional for meaningful learning, development, and continued advancement within the region.
Key responsibilities include:
Collect, analyze and report on market data and trends to connect financial outcomes with operational effectiveness
Lead financial, operational, and competitive analysis supporting annual bid strategy & planning
Lead components of the annual budgeting process and serve as a subject matter expert
Lead work streams supporting the development of enhanced reporting and analytics capabilities, including surrounding a large new Group Medicare account
Support analytics/analysis evaluating new potential clinical and operational improvement opportunities
Independently lead and manage special projects addressing high priority regional strategic, financial, and operational priorities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
4 years of operations and/or finance experience
Strong quantitative and data analytics capabilities
High attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with teammates and cross functional stakeholders
Comprehensive working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
Proficiency in SQL and PowerBI
Knowledge of Humana's systems, like EDW, Service Fund, etc.
Knowledge of pivot tables and look-up functions (Excel) and building queries (Access)
