The Lean Manufacturing Engineer is a change agent for process and quality improvements. This position will implement and use Lean Manufacturing techniques to help drive continuous improvement and success in the US Operations facilities located in Plymouth, MN, River Falls, WI and Litchfield, MN.
Use and implement Lean Manufacturing processes throughout the plant through coaching, training and improving processes and productivity.
Apply problem-solving methods throughout the company and train others in these methods.
Manage multiple lean projects directed at reducing waste and improving quality.
Understand and ability to properly utilize lean tools such as 5S, Standard Work, Problem Solving, SMED, DFM., etc.
Plans and coordinates Kaizen Events, A3 projects and other continuous improvement activities.
Ensures safety and ergonomic considerations are made relating to equipment, process and plant layout.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or 3-5 years of continuous improvement experience
Green or Black Belt Certification
3-5 years of Continuous Improvement experience is desired
Experience in a leadership role in Kaizen events and A3 Projects
Excellent Written and Verbal Communications
Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
Must be able to utilize independent judgement, discretion and critical thinking
Adapts quickly to changing environment
Able to work as a member of a team or independently
