Duties:

• Advocate for individuals in removal proceedings before Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals

• Conduct strategic legal consultations with potential clients to assess case direction

• Manage a personal caseload involving diverse immigration matters, including detained and non-detained individuals

• Develop legal strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS interviews and court appearances

• Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration petitions and defenses

• Prepare family-based and humanitarian immigration applications

• Review and revise case packets for completeness and legal accuracy

• Conduct intake interviews with individuals held at detention facilities

• Engage with law enforcement agencies, prosecutorial offices, and local organizations regarding immigration legal developments

• Collaborate with legal assistants and other attorneys within the team to ensure quality representation and client service

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Nevada

• 1-4 years of dedicated experience in immigration law

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize a caseload effectively

• Comfortable interacting with clients from diverse backgrounds

• Working knowledge of family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, EOIR practice, citizenship matters, and detained representation

• Familiarity with legal writing, procedural filings, and immigration litigation

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of Nevada (required)

Skills:

• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency in case management systems and legal research platforms

• Ability to explain complex legal topics in accessible language

• Adaptable and proactive approach to legal practice
