Position Title: Social Worker - Utilization Review Work Assignment: Alcohol Chemical Treatment (ACT) Outpatient, ACT Residential and Psychiatric UnitsPosition Type(s): Full TimeStart Dates: December 18thPosition Classification: Hourly - Non Exempt (Eligible for Overtime) you are an employee and get paid for ALL hours worked, there is no such thing as billable or non billable hoursWork Schedule: Monday - Friday (Days) Successful candidate will be able to participate in coverage of weekend (4 hours/day) once a month. Job Summary:The Utilization Reviewer will facilitate the
interdisciplinary plan of care with a focus on evaluating the appropriateness
of clinical care, medical necessity, admission status, level of care, and
resource management.*Reviews
a case load of patients for admission appropriateness and continued stay
necessity and contacts physician reviewers as needed to review patients with
questionable lengths of stay.*Follows
up on denials to determine appropriateness of corrective action.
