Core Tax Services Manager
The candidate will be responsible for advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues. Charging with applying knowledge to understand potential tax issues, and recognizing and communicating potential risks and potential changes in the tax policy. Involving in the marketing, networking and business development within an area of expertise and specialization and may be asked to provide written tax advice to clients. Bachelor’s degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics preferred. Master’s in Accountancy or Taxation is preferred. Should have 5+ years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience. Prior supervisory experience is required. Industry expertise in one or more tax specialty is preferred. Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance process software is preferred. Possession of other professional degrees or certifications applicable to role is preferred. CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) (or the equivalent of one of these designations) is required.
