ABOUT ALERSTALLINGS
We are the largest elder law firm in the state of Ohio. We focus solely on asset protection, estate planning, and elder care law. Our clients pay one fee upfront and they receive unlimited calls, emails, and meetings for their lifetime. We also have them come in for an annual review, ensuring that their plans stay up-to-date. Since our founding in 2010, we've grown to 12 offices. And, we've been recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the Fast 50 of Ohio and, nationally, in the Inc. 5000.
Our success is a direct result of the caliber of employees we recruit AND our unique business model. We value each of our employees and their input. We are supportive, not only to our clients but to each other. We work together to make things happen. We foster a work culture where employees are generous with their time and knowledge and are willing to coach and mentor each other. And, as a law firm, we provide weekly and monthly trainings for all employees! Our motto is: You go. We go. Together.
A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ESTATE PLANNING PARALEGAL
As an Estate Planning Paralegal, you play the vital role of being the main line of communication with our clients. Thanks to the robust initial and ongoing training that we provide you with, you are able to provide our clients with competent service. You are self-motivated and respected by the attorneys, taking on a role more similar to a junior attorney than an office manager. You get to help manage and execute legal estate plans.
Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills come in handy, as you interact with clients a lot! You greet each prospect and client with a warm, down-to-earth smile, helping them feel at ease. In addition to in-person appointments with clients, you also communicate with clients via email and telephone on a daily basis.
During meetings, you sit second chair with the attorney and take notes, following up with clients after. You draft documents for the different client packages and run meetings with clients yourself in the later stages of the process. Your organizational skills also help you excel in this position as you do help with filing, maintaining office supplies, appointment scheduling, and event workshop support. You're always up for a challenge and thrive in our fast-paced environment!
