The Talent & Training Development Manager will be a key contributor to the overall operations of our organization. They will coordinate with our Safety Program Administrator, Operations Manager and Site Management on developing and implementing training programs for the team.
The Talent & Training Development Manager leads the development of employee operational & customer service. Including onboarding, career path progression, and succession planning and talent development. Elevating the performance of the current team, improving retention and identifying and supporting future leadership candidates. You will design and conduct training programs to improve individual and organizational performance for our highly esteemed client at their location.
Role and Responsibilities
Assist in building, managing and developing a world-class workforce to a customer focused culture as well as maximize organizational impact and effectiveness.
Identify talent/knowledge gaps and develop specific training and development program to address such gaps.
Develop and implement succession planning and career development initiatives.
Act as an advisor and provide technical expertise on talent initiatives to staff and senior level leaders within the High Tech Services Group.
Serve as project manager to design, contract, and/or implement solutions to address the needed development (through classroom, assignment management, coaching or mentoring programs, or other initiatives).
Qualifications and Education Requirements
A BS/BA in Business or Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or Industrial Psychology preferred. Years of experience will be considered in lieu of an undergraduate degree.
5 to 7 plus years of experience in a field HR management, training, or generalist role in a multi-state environment.
Experience managing direct reports is preferred.
Experience in a union environment is preferred.
Must demonstrate working knowledge of job evaluation and compensation processes.
Must demonstrate working knowledge in organizational development.
Must demonstrate a working knowledge in Adult Learning and Instructional Design.
Experience and deep skills working with management, providing coaching & feedback, demonstrating courage in taking a stand and the ability to influence required.
Comfort with ambiguity and creating something new, something that does not currently exist.
Ability to lead change.
