Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A Phoenix-based law firm with a growing presence in insurance-related litigation seeks a driven and detail-oriented associate attorney to join its dynamic practice. This opportunity is ideal for an entry-level or early-career attorney interested in insurance coverage, fraud defense, and litigation strategy. The role offers exposure to a wide range of clients across industries such as construction, transportation, government entities, and private businesses. The position will involve hands-on experience in all stages of civil litigation and client development.

Duties:

• Draft, review, and respond to legal pleadings, motions, and discovery requests

• Conduct and defend depositions, with the opportunity to build oral advocacy skills

• Collaborate with experts and consultants to support case development and trial preparation

• Attend court hearings and present oral arguments

• Support senior attorneys with litigation strategy, case analysis, and legal research

• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of post-J.D. legal experience

• Admitted to the State Bar of Arizona, the State Bar of California, or both

• Candidates sitting for the Arizona Bar in July 2025 may be considered for a transition from clerkship to associate role

• Demonstrated interest in litigation and client advocacy

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Arizona and/or California

• (Pending Bar exam takers may be considered on a case-by-case basis)

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Excellent legal research and analysis capabilities

• Confidence in managing deadlines and litigation workflows

• Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment
