Public Policy Intern
The candidate will help develop the firm’s position on policy issues, research policy matters, interact with trade associations, and represent the company at meetings and events. Work closely with team members to assess government activities of importance to the firm, anticipate potential government actions, and develop mitigation or enhancement strategies and positions to assist in the external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, and key initiatives. Work collaboratively with the US Public Policy team on a wide range of projects to support the firm's core business priorities and public policy goals. Anticipate challenges/obstacles the business could face as the public policy landscape evolves. Ensure policymaker awareness of the firm's business model, and help coordinate external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, and initiatives in concert with business objectives. BA/BS is required. Should be enrolled in a Law degree or relevant Master’s degree program. Work, internship, or other leadership experience in a professional environment, with an emphasis and demonstrated interest in public policy and government relations work is required.
