We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Group Vice President to join our team in Reston, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

Unisys’ Federal (~$600M) is organized around three groupings of Federal agencies and related businesses: Department of Defense/Intelligence, Department of Homeland Security, and Civilian sectors.
Reporting to the President, Federal, the Unisys Federal DoD/Intelligence Group Vice President will play the key leadership role in managing this business line, which represents a ~$125M annual business. We seek a seasoned Federal sector executive with deep expertise in leading and growing Defense and Intelligence business in a performance driven environment. This executive must be comfortable evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the team and act decisively to foster an environment where superior quality of work and predictable revenue growth can be achieved. Our leader will possess “seller/doer” leadership skills, but can balance that with the broad vision necessary to lead and grow the business. We seek a business unit leader able to translate DoD requirements, operations and programs into new Unisys engagements and relationships. A key member of the Federal senior leadership team, the Group VP should be highly collaborative and be able to provide guidance and contribute to discussions and plans related to the entire Federal business.
Specific responsibilities to include:
Assume full P&L management of all Sector operations, including account management, project management and project delivery.
Provide insights, recommendations and support for the overall strategy for the DoD / Intel Group, including how to represent Unisys’ capabilities to the market.
With the sales team, provide input on and participate in the execution of the business development plan including identifying target clients and key executives, leveraging and partnering with the existing customer base and capitalizing on thought leadership development and market visibility opportunities.
Develop and lead a first-rate team that is known for meeting and exceeding objectives and is proactive in creating opportunities within the Federal sector.
Collaborate across other Unisys’ units to leverage U.S. Federal Defense and Intelligence solutions to business and client needs globally.
Education: BS degree required; graduate degree is highly preferred.
The role of the Group VP requires an individual with a broad base of experience managing organizations and projects focused on the Federal government sector with a particular emphasis on the Department of Defense and Intelligence Sector customers. This individual must be a senior executive with the ability to establish strong relationships with key members of the Federal community as well as internally with Unisys’ high performing Federal team. Experience managing a business in a matrixed environment will be helpful. The successful candidate will have the following demonstrated experience, knowledge, skills and abilities to include:
At least 15 years progressively responsible leadership experience in a professional services and technology solutions P&L management with in the Federal sector. In depth knowledge and experience with DISA, Army, Air Force, Navy and OSD Agencies is preferred.
In depth knowledge of the Federal information technology marketplace. This individual should have an understanding of DoD/Intelligence agency missions, organizations, operations and performance.
Superior people management skills including direct experience with the processes and disciplines associated with running a Federally-focused, information technology-oriented professional services firm.
Experience building and leading a high performance account management function that is proactive, realistic and that can drive the creation of high quality business opportunities.
Worked in a highly collaborative business development environment where he/she worked closely with the sales team on pursuit strategies and account prioritization.
Experience in driving a services delivery organization through a matrix of various sales channels (e.g. practices, regions, service lines, etc.).
Experience forging teaming relationships with the Federal marketplace to capture high value, profitable projects.
Demonstrated success transforming an organization to pursue, win and execute flawlessly on higher value projects.
Knowledge of trends in Federally-focused service delivery.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to interact effectively with employees and all levels of management in identifying and resolving complex issues.
The candidate should possess existing relationships with senior-level government executives that can lead to business development opportunities.
Top Secret Clearance Required. TS/SCI desired.
