Job Overview: A law firm in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Data Privacy Associate Attorney to assist in various data privacy and cybersecurity matters. The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of relevant experience and be well-versed in privacy laws, incident response, and compliance with state, federal, and international regulations.

Job Duties:

• Assist with data breach notification obligations and actions, including leading or assisting in data incident management and breach notifications.
• Review and coordinate potential privacy or data security incidents, including investigations, notifications, and resolution efforts.
• Participate in cybersecurity and data breach incident response, preparing required notifications as per breach notification laws.
• Conduct research and provide legal counsel to clients on compliance with and obligations under US state, federal, and international privacy regulations.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in data privacy, data security, and/or HIPAA privacy matters.
• Knowledge and experience in incident response and a strong understanding of privacy laws.
• Excellent academic credentials, with preference for candidates with prior judicial clerk or law firm experience.
• Strong writing and analytical skills to produce persuasive written work products.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to distill research into meaningful and persuasive written work.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar.
