If so, read on to learn more about an exciting opportunity with Deloitte's Information Technology Services (ITS). We are curious and life-long learners focused on technology and innovation.
Work you'll do
ITS M&A Business Project Management, MGR
In FY23, the Deloitte US Firms are poised to engage in strategic and meaningful increases in our Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) portfolio. As a Manager in the ITS M&A Transformation Office, you will play a significant role in revolutionizing value management for technology M&A activities and providing greater transparency to executive teams related to each M&A project. Responsibilities include developing and delivering strategic initiatives that are sponsored by the Deloitte CIO and the ITS M&A Leadership team.
The ITS M&A Transformation Office is an internal Technology (ITS) group that partners with Corporate Development, Deloitte businesses (Audit, Advisory, Consulting, Tax, and GPS), Enabling Areas, and the ITS M&A team to reimagine, simplify, and automate ITS M&A processes to scale for the future. The ITS M&A Transformation Office is part of the Office of CIO/COO and reports directly to the US CIO. The Office of the CIO/COO is the engine of the ITS organization, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and fiscally sound technology operation. This multi-disciplinary team runs IT as a business by transforming IT finance, reporting project portfolio metrics, quality, deployment, delivery, and adoption, and building the IT workforce of the future.
You'll be working with managers, senior managers, and PMDs in ITS to identify and execute strategic initiatives that continue our Firm's success as the #1 Professional Services Firm. You will support efforts to identify leading practices, improve processes, enhance systems, and align ITS M&A processes to realize opportunities. These initiatives are high visibility projects for the Firm and in an Office sponsored by the Deloitte CIO to help our Firm achieve its long-term goals.
Specifically, as a manager, you will help lead ITS-specific M&A process reviews within the context of the broader M&A effort, gathering and analyzing information, formulating, and testing valuations and appraisals, and developing trackable ITS-specific M&A recommendations and ROI. You will help present your office's findings to senior stakeholders, implement recommendations, and begin to build long-term trusted advisor relationships with various counterparts across the Firm. Specific tasks will include creating PowerPoint presentations to communicate and influence senior Deloitte leadership, both within the Office as well as other Businesses and Enabling Areas. You may also develop, own, and modify detailed what-if analyses Excel models and work with ITS to automate processes and perform other analytical tasks.
The ideal candidate will be curious, analytical, and confident, with a natural drive to exceed immediate project requirements. A genuine passion for transformation and M&A, combined with relationship-building, leadership, project management, and communication skills will be key to success.
Responsibilities include:
Perform quantitative and qualitative M&A assessments such as stakeholder analysis and change impact assessments for key stakeholder groups to drive development of data-driven change strategies
Develop and manage the execution of fit-for-purpose M&A and management strategies; detail plans to accelerate ROI of initiatives; and collaborate across program and technical teams to remain integrated with broader ITS M&A plans
Develop and manage execution of leadership alignment plans to drive buy-in with changes
Work closely with subject matter experts and leadership to develop and drive consistent key ITS M&A messaging and content
Plan, develop, and work with leadership and change networks to deliver communications and creative engagement activities, driving understanding about key changes
Measure effectiveness of change interventions and evolve plans as needed to best drive adoption and reduce risk of M&A
Regularly report on activity status to program leadership; work with leadership to escalate and resolve risks and issues
Understand the IT/Technology M&A financial drivers and make recommendations to leaders on how to manage one-time costs, budget and forecast ongoing costs
Identify ways to ensure consistency, efficiency, and transparency across ITS M&A transactions in the financial and operational metrics that are used to understand the value that technology brings to the business
