Job Title: Communications Systems Engineer

Work Location: Somerset, NJ.  May work from home within commuting distance of this office.

Job Duties: Analyze feature requirements for audio technology products in HD Radio broadcast markets; develop technical specifications to meet requirements for HD Radio and DTS Autostage systems, with focus on both transmission and receiver ends; create system and product test plans to validate specifications; perform root-cause analysis on systems-level issues; document use-case scenarios for consumer product development; coordinate requirement and specification reviews with development engineering groups, and work collaboratively with business partners and customers to validate requirements; perform simulations and lab/field tests using automotive radio receiver evaluation boards, spectrum analyzers, radio frequency signal playback equipment, I/Q data recording equipment, vector generation equipment, HD Radio alignment processors, commercial radios, and HD Radio market area monitors; and write technical papers describing the company’s technology for broadcast and communications systems and present them to industry / trade groups.

Job requirements  –

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical, Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering. 

Must have knowledge of:

*          Digital communications and digital signal processing techniques;

*          Matlab programming;

*          Radio lab test equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators;

*          Radio signal mechanics: generating from commercial broadcast stations, receiving at commercial radio receivers

10% travel is required to attend trade shows, business meetings, field tests – both within the U.S. and internationally. 

Rate of Pay: $95,600 to $110,000 per year
