Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Associate with 2 to 4 years of experience to join their team in Menlo Park, CA. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AI, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and/or false advertising law, and will manage litigation and enforcement matters in these areas.

Duties

• Manage intellectual property and technology litigation and enforcement matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver legal solutions.
• Develop strategies for complex litigation and enforcement actions.
• Counsel clients on legal risks related to product development.
• Conduct legal research and analysis with strong writing skills.
• Manage the discovery phase of litigation, including e-discovery.
• Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong client-facing skills and teamwork.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in AI, trademark, copyright, false advertising, and/or trade-secret law.
• Strong understanding of the Lanham Act, the Copyright Act, the DMCA, and computer-access laws such as the CFAA.
• Trial experience is preferred.
• Willingness to engage with a broad range of laws to support technology clients.
• Highly motivated with excellent academic credentials.
• Superior writing and communication skills.
• Membership in the state bar where applying is required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

• Membership in the State Bar.
