Director, SPS Contracting
The candidate lead the University's efforts to enhance strategic partnerships with government and industry partners. Direct the management of the Sponsored Program Services (SPS) Contracting Team. Allocate resources and provide quality control to contracting activity. Collaborate with the other SPS Units and Business Management staff to meet and exceed faculty expectations for service in support of sponsored research activities. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (or Juris Doctor degree) is required. Should have 8+ years of previous leadership and supervisory experience and/or previous experience with contract negotiation and development. Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required experience. Experience in university research administration or other university experience is preferred. Experience negotiating corporate and government contracts is preferred. Knowledge of intellectual property law or relevant experience in federal contracting, procurement contracts, project management, legal or financial administration is preferred.
