 Applications will be accepted for May graduates, and interviews will start in March. Placement opportunities will be in the hospital setting, depending on your area of interest.

Your residency will be a time of learning, training and having opportunities to expand your nursing practice. Our personalized Residency program is tailored to your individual needs and provides the opportunity to develop your career. The goal is to provide you with an environment that helps you learn and to give you all the resources you need to be a safe and successful member of the Virginia Mason team!  

Residency Details:

12 month program

No contract required

Variety of inpatient & outpatient units available; placement determined by areas of interest and the selection committee

In person & Skype interviews will be scheduled ongoing.

Program is based on the Virginia Mason Nursing Professional Practice Model

Residency start dates will be flexible, depending on graduation date and NCLEX test date

36 hours/week','!*!

An active WA State RN license prior to starting the Residency

BSN required (or Nurse Tech at Virginia Mason)

Available for on-site or Skype interviews

Able to work every other weekend, depending on unit placement

Time off may not be granted during the residency period
