Paralegal Specialist (OA)
Responsibilities: Performs paralegal duties in support of the Trial Defense Service branch office. Interviews clients and potential witnesses to obtain information pertinent to matters that are primarily legal in nature (e.g., courts-martial, administrative separations, reprimands, non-judicial punishment, and law enforcement investigations). Assists attorneys at trials and during administrative board proceedings. Prepares for execution by client and/or an attorney a variety of legal documents and forms including, legal memoranda, pretrial agreements, request for discharge in lieu of court-martial, discovery requests, rebuttal statements, and appeals. Serves as liaison with the Administrative Division, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, U.S. Army Garrison, on complete range of office administration matters including initiation of purchase requests, requests for supplies, work orders, etc.
