Job Description:
The Maintenance Scheduling Specialist is responsible for scheduling corrective and preventative maintenance and modification activities while accounting for safety/health/environmental factors, reliability, and cost.
Develop training materials and desk guides to facilitate new contractor onboarding.
Support development of the Scheduling Team KPIs.
Coordinate day-to day activities with the all execution arms across Geismar.
Coordinate the up front scope discussions with all disciplines from procurement to field executable complete, logic tied schedules.
Provide assurance on schedules submitted by contractors.
Analyze schedule logic, activity durations, constraints, float, resource loading, critical path(s) and leveling resources as needed to support MM resources.
Produce Management reports that effectively communicate performance, concerns, and other indicators of schedule performance.
Participate in schedule risk workshops to establish schedule contingency, as needed.
Apply, monitor, and report schedule contingency.
Create, update and align project codes, resources, activity codes, and WBS.
Monitor and record approved schedule changes.
Align all stakeholders during development of work, procurement and execution schedules; including integration with the site wide overall master schedule.
Assist in developing and maintaining a historical database of scheduling activities, durations and overall cycle times.
Collaborates with all other execution arms at Geismar to ensure that schedules and subsequent resource hours are in alignment with estimates, and cash flow forecasts.
Support efforts on continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate monthly schedule deliverables including the following:
Meet with execution resources to update overall schedule
Generate new period schedules and look-ahead schedules as needed
Analyze overall work progress impact on schedule
Monitor progress on milestones and critical path compliance
Report schedule progress, variances, and impacts
Track resource compliance with plans and budgets
Verify that no additional work is added to schedule unless previously approved
Complete post-execution work including the following:
Update schedule with final changes and communicate completion to stakeholders
Document “lessons learned”

Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a technical field is preferred
With at least three (3) years experience as a Maintenance scheduler in an oil refining/petrochemical manufacturing environment.
Proficient using Primavera version R15.2 or greater
Advanced knowledge of GSAP (P31) WBS alignment and integration with Impress /Primavera version R15.2 or greater is a plus
Advanced knowledge of scheduling practices and integration of turnaround events
Advanced knowledge in workface/work package planning strategies from engineering to executionSafety, Health & Environmental Duties & Expectations
Comprehensive understanding of Maintenance Execution practices as well as construction techniques and practices
Advanced conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills towards the generation of solutions and sound decisions in relation to portfolio planning and analysis
Strong communication skills, confident interaction with stakeholders in verbal and written form
