Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Garden City, NY office. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with litigation experience who are looking to contribute to a dynamic team and handle a variety of cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for litigation and be able to effectively manage a caseload. Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload involving litigation matters from start to finish.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and arbitrations.
• Provide legal counsel to clients on strategy and case developments.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to ensure timely case progression.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and trial preparation.
• Maintain and update case files and records, ensuring compliance with all legal procedures.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in litigation.
• License: Must be licensed to practice in New York (New Jersey license preferred).
• Skills: Strong litigation and legal research abilities.
• Client-Focused: Ability to maintain client relationships and provide exceptional service.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, especially in case preparation and document drafting.
• Team Player: Ability to work well within a collaborative team environment.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Bar membership in New York (New Jersey bar membership preferred).
