Senior Infrastructure and Ops Engineer

Duties: The candidate will ensure that systems for the Firm, to include global integration points and Cloud systems are available and functioning properly at all times. Will be responsible for evaluating, designing, building, managing, monitoring and operating the firm’s infrastructure systems and environments. Support the Firm’s applications and are key to the Firm’s security, disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives. Perform hands-on configurations, create and maintain system documentation, and transfer knowledge to others in the department. Develop detailed designs and strategies around the Firm’s infrastructure and cloud technologies, participate and/or lead disaster recovery planning, implementation, testing, and validation, and participate in vendor relationships. Perform daily monitoring and required maintenance to keep systems highly available, highly stable and always performing optimally, and proactively identify needs for improvements, capacity changes and upgrades. Plan and implement upgrades and patches to stay on current versions, resolve escalated cases from other Engineers and Helpdesk, and perform fault resolution and root-cause diagnosis. Maintain extensive and detailed technical documentation and provide training as needed.
