The Manufacturing Technician may help provide work direction to the electronic assemblers/technicians to meet our customers’ needs and values by delivering quality product and services. The Manufacturing Technician may provide troubleshooting and rework of printed circuit boards, and electromechanical devices to support monthly manufacturing build plans. The Manufacturing Technician will perform tasks of the team to manufacture and test electro-mechanical software-based devices according to product requirements and specifications – and may rotate through all of them.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations. This includes QSR and ISO Standards.
Test, troubleshoot, assemble, and rework of electronic systems; provide work direction when asked to support the monthly build plans.
Identify/Procure/design mfg fixtures to support production, labor, and quality improvements on the mfg floor.
Strong interpersonal communication (both written and oral).
Identify assembly and test problems and difficulties; suggest improvements.
Ability to work well with others; Meets all team deadlines and responsibilities; listens to others and values opinions; helps team leader to meet goals and welcomes newcomers and promotes a team atmosphere.
Performs equipment setup and corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance as necessary.
Tackles problems and takes independent action, seeks out new responsibilities, acts on opportunities, generates new ideas and practices self-development.
Qualifications and Requirements:
2 or 4 yr Associate’s or technical Degree
Must have 1-2 years job experience in the field of medical device manufacturing and/or testing.
CAD Experience a plus/ Solidworks/3D printing.
Must be skilled in the use of electronic test & measurement equipment or in soldering of electronic components.
Skilled in the use of computers, adapts to new technology, keeps abreast of changes, learns new programs quickly and uses computers to improve productivity.
Must have the ability to read and follow procedures and processes accurately with close attention to detail.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
