Labor & Employee Relations Director
The candidate manages the negotiation preparation with management and senior leadership in preparing strategy and proposals to determine feasibility, cost effects on operations and relationship to prevailing trends in the industry and the geographic area. Acts as Chief Negotiator for assigned unions. Builds and maintains ongoing, long-term relationships between negotiating parties; advocate and champion a productive management/union working environment. Will lead investigations, determine policy direction, handle complaints, review employee & organizational trends, monitor laws and regulations while collaborating with key partners. Additionally, drive programs and processes that facilitate education, awareness, and effective employee solutions, while ensuring alignment with CHA's corporate culture and values. The Labor and Employee Relations function seeks to prevent and resolve issues involving employees that may arise out of, or affect work situations. Labor and Employee Relations is also responsible for maintaining and improving employer-employee relationships that contribute to employee engagement, motivation, morale, and performance.
