Description

Humana has an exciting opportunity in Kentucky or Indiana to work at home as a Credentialing Representative 2. You will be a key member of the team that reviews, gathers additional information, and processes provider credentials to ensure our members have the best available support that they need. You will be credentialing providers to ensure they meet Humana standards for our members. As a credentialing associate, you will periodically contact providers to gather required information needed or missing to verify credibility.

Responsibilities

What we need your help with:

Reviews 30-50 provider applicant daily reviewing their education, training, clinical privileges, experience, licensure, accreditation, certifications, professional liability insurance, malpractice history and professional competence.

Reviews the information and documentation collected, as well as verification that the information is accurate and complete.

Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction.

What you need for success! - Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

3 years of experience within a professional environment handling data entry tasks

Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Performs well in a production based environment and flexible to adjust quickly when department priorities change.

Must currently live within Kentucky or Indiana

Work at Home Requirements

Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.

A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

What you need to be STAND OUT among the crowd! : Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Apex

Knowledge of PMDM (PIMS)

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or a related field
