Best Buy’s Digital & Technology team is seeking a CDN Engineer.

This role will be expected to leverage or assist in developing, in-house Akamai as Code platform to automate requests/changes from the product, operations, and security teams. This Engineer must be willing and able to learn modern and innovative platforms. This position will serve on a broader team of technology professionals, cooperatively designing and enhancing systems, developing standards, and creating robust technology solutions that deliver real business value to Best Buy.

Key position responsibilities include:

24/7 On-call rotation

Prioritize efficiency, stability, and costs of our CDN implementation across all facets such as caching, speed, and performance.

Maintain a strong understanding of downstream systems

Manage intake requests via our bug/issue/work management and tracking solutions

Translate product, operations, and security teams' requests to CDN capabilities

Use open-source and in-house developed automation tools to integrate with our CDN (site setup, domain addition, certificate assignments, and common rule/behavior requests)

Update, test, and push property config updates to production

Minimum Requirements:

2 years’ experience with CDN integrations

2 years’ experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Kibana, or Splunk

1 years’ experience in Linux systems engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in at least one scripting language such as Bash, JavaScript, PHP, Python, and Ruby

Proficient in using the Linux command line (core utilities and in-house developed)
