Construction and Design Litigation Attorney
The candidate will be interviewing and meeting with client representatives. Taking and defending fact and expert depositions. Management and delegation of work to paralegals. Construction contract drafting and negotiation. Scheduling and payment claim experience. Marketing and business development interest. Should have currently licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado. Must have a strong work ethic and proven case management skills. Must have excellent communication and analytical skills, exceptional research and writing skills, and the ability to travel. Must have competent computer skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Direct experience/interaction with insurance claims representatives, including reporting, case assessment, evaluation, and strategy. Responsibility for handling own files/matters preferred. Expert engagement and preparation, expert disclosures, and reporting. Experience with all facets of pre-trial discovery and preparation. Experience with all facets of pre-trial motions. Experience with large exposure cases, multi-party litigation, complex construction, and design matters. Experience with large document production and database matters. First chair mediation experience. First chair trial/arbitration experience preferred. Experience in drafting publications, articles, or legal presentations is a plus.
