The Andare Assistant Sous Chef will support in leading the Andare Culinary team, and work with the Collection Culinary leaders to create, implement and maintain quality standards in Andare. In some instances, the Assistant Sous Chef will accomplish their tasks by monitoring the daily functions of the culinary department, including providing support and guidance to the team, ending in a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities include:
· Being a visible leader in the kitchen, setting the example, assisting during busy times
· Ensure consistency of all dishes, presentations & flavor
· Assume the role of liaison between all dining room operations and culinary staff
· Supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items
· Ensure food preparation meets health codes and standards by conducting regular safety food checks
· Assume the role of liaison between all departments within the culinary division and all other hotel departments
· Supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items
· Develop and implement creative menu items that adhere to Hyatt brand standards
· Plan, coordinate & implement special events and holiday functions
· Manage hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
· May manage other key culinary leadership rolls including supervisors
· Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
· Monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis
· Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment
· Create or maintain current recipe cards, food descriptions, costings and printing guides
· Development of their staff, supervisors and all cooks
· Create and maintain a relationship with their FOH partners, meeting regularly to improve communication and running of operations.
This is an hourly leadership position, the rate for this position is $30.00/hour. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for four years, which is $30.60.

Full-Time Colleagues:
