Litigation Paralegal Assistant/Admin - Legal
The candidate will work with client's attorneys to assist them in litigating cases and filing amicus briefs in federal and state courts nationwide. Under the direct supervision of an attorney. Organize and manage litigation cases to include preparing trial binders, exhibits, and documents for production in response to document requests. Assist in all phases of case investigation and discovery, including written discovery, depositions, and witness interviews. Manage electronic discovery across client’s litigation portfolio and advise attorneys throughout the process. Assist in and attend trials and court hearings.Maintain case files in the Clio law practice management system, including review and preparation of material for storage or disposal once a case has closed. Conduct legal research and prepare, edit, format, and file briefs and other legal documents and correspondence. Proofread and cite check legal documents and/or memoranda to assist with preparation of court and/or agency filings. Ensure that court documents are timely filed and prepared consistent with local court rules, such as word count, page limitations, and font size. Communicate with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel to collect and assemble information. Support attorneys by scheduling appointments, depositions and meetings, maintaining their files and calendars, making travel arrangements, and preparing and submitting expense reports and other financial documents.
